Welcome to 3DX Ireland

The 3DX Ireland heli competition is back again this year with it being held in Co. Waterford, home of the initial 3DX winner (2007) John O'Rourke. The event will take place from the 14th - 16th of May at Waterford Model Flying Club's new flying site. Work is under way to have flying site facilities, sponsors, judges and of course some of the top RC heli pilots to give some of the best known 3DX demonstrations.

The event is not just open to competitors, but also to all RC heli enthusiasts with flying of the peg for all day Friday and some of Saturday and Sunday during non-competition flight times.

GPS Co-ordinates of the flying site are 52 15' 55" N. 07 29' 15" W

Directions: from Carrick-on-suir take R676 (south/Dungarvan) for about 8km. Then look for 3dx Ireland sign pointing right. Google map location click here

A 3DX training day will be held at the Shannon Model Flying club on the 24th April where the 3DX Ireland team will at hand to answer any questions relating to manoeuvres.

There also will be a 3DX dinner organised for the night of the 15th May.
